On this day in 1985 former Fastbacks’ drummer, Duff McKagan returned to Seattle to perform at the Omni Room with his new band Guns n’ Roses. The Fastbacks were the opening act. This was the very first west coast tour for Guns n’ Roses. The band ended up hitchhiking part of the way to Seattle when their van broke down on I-5. Unfortunately, only 13 people were in attendance at the show, and GnR only received $50 of their $250 guarantee. Most of the remaining shows fell through, and Axl referred to the trip as The Hell Tour. Today we have In the Summer by The Fastbacks.
Ex-Manhattan Love Suiciders Adam & Rachel have a new band called The Medusa Snare and they are performing tomorrow night at Oporto in Leeds, UK.
