Radio Takeover !
Tullycraft is featured on the Season 2 finale of the Cut X Cut podcast. The theme of this episode is Radio Takeover (i.e. the plot of the 1994 movie Airheads – where Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi and Adam Sandler hijack a radio station to control the programming). Cut X Cut co-hosts Erik, Kris, Brooke and Chris ask themselves “What band would I play if we took over a radio station?” Erik decides the band he would play would be Tullycraft (his segment starts at the 1:08:20 mark).
New Tullycraft album in the works!
We are in the studio working on a new album for 2018. Stay tuned for more details.
One Man Band
I’ve been enjoying the new So Cow record, Lisa Marie Airplane Tour. The album was recorded entirely in the small coastal town of Spiddal in the west of Ireland by Brian Kelly. Brian played all instruments and recorded & mixed all of the songs himself, which is surprising unless you know that Spiddal is a very small town, consisting of three pubs, two grocery stores and one church. What else is there to do?
Brian claims this album was influenced by bands like Game Theory and The Soft Boys, but I detect a hint of Nothing Painted Blue and Vampire Weekend as well.
Check out the song: “Westerly Direction”

New BUNNYGRUNT album!
Hey! Bunnygrunt is about to release their fifth studio album titled “Vol 4.” This is their first new album since 2009. I’m sure the title, “Vol 4,” will confuse some folks, seeing as how this is actually their fifth album. I can only assume the band is viewing this as the fourth record released by Bunnygrunt 2.0 – including the odds and ends compilation, “In The Valley Of Lonesome Phil” (2004).
Brief Bunnygrunt history: the band released two albums between 1993 – 1998. These were the years of the famous Tullycraft/Bunnygrunt tours. After a tour of Japan in December 1998, Bunnygrunt broke up. They reemerged in 2003 with a new line-up and a decidedly less twee sound (aka the post Jen Wolfe era).
Rumors are swirling that “Vol 4” may be the band’s last album. The deluxe pre-order includes lots of Bunnygrunt goodies (drink koozie, coasters, bottle-opener keychain). The album is available in three formats: LP/CD/CS. Act fast!

Sunday, May 3rd
We just got word from the music supervisor of The Good Wife that Tullycraft’s upbeat cover of a New Pornographers song will not appear in tonight’s episode. It was decided that something more emotional was necessary for the scene. Unfortunately, due to legal restrictions, we are not allowed post the song (or any portion of it). Since it was recorded specifically for the show it is officially the property of CBS. I guess it will become the ultimate Tully-rarity.
Tullycraft on The Good Wife?
Last week Tullycraft was contacted by the producers of The Good Wife. We were asked if we could record a specific song for the episode which will air on May 3rd. We were given five days to complete this project. Needless to say, it has been a whirlwind last few days. We submitted the song and we’re going to tune in on Sunday to see if we made the cut. Fingers crossed! If you would like to (possibly) hear this exclusive Tullycraft recording, tune into The Good Wife this Sunday on CBS.
